NUVOLENE sutures are made from polypropylene, a propylene polymer, and are available in blue. These multifilament, non-absorbable sutures provide permanent support with minimal tissue reaction. They are ideal for soft tissue approximation and ligation in ophthalmic, cardiovascular, and neurological surgeries. Available in USP sizes from 10-0 to 2, NUVOLENE sutures offer reliable performance for surgeries requiring long-term support.
Polypropylene sutures, also non-absorbable and available in blue, are monofilament sutures made from 100% homopolymer polypropylene. Available in USP sizes ranging from 2 to 5-0, they are commonly used in cardiovascular, plastic surgeries, and soft tissue approximation. These sutures are known for their strength and minimal tissue reaction.
Before use, ensure instruments are sterilised and the suture package is intact. Select the appropriate suture size, handle aseptically, and tie secure knots. Trim excess material, provide post-operative care instructions, and document the procedure. Dispose of waste according to guidelines.
