What's in the Box

  • 1 Sterile Pack of NUVOCRIL FAST Polyglactin 910 Fast Absorbable Surgical Suture

NUVOCRIL FAST is a sterile, synthetic, fast absorbable surgical suture manufactured from Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The braided and coated multifilament construction provides smooth tissue passage, excellent handling characteristics, and secure knot performance during procedures requiring short-term wound support. The suture is coated with poly-glycolide-co-L-lactide and calcium stearate to minimize tissue drag and improve handling.

The suture is absorbed through hydrolysis and is completely absorbed within 40 to 45 days, producing minimal tissue reaction. It retains approximately 50% tensile strength after 5–7 days and around 10% after 10 days, making it suitable where rapid absorption is required. Manufactured by Nuvo Medsurg Private Limited, NUVOCRIL FAST is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including skin closure, pediatric surgery, episiotomies, circumcision, oral mucosa closure, and ophthalmic conjunctival procedures.
